Msgr. Delaney Council is named in honor of the man who was the founding pastor of St. James R.C. Church in Seaford Msgr. William A. Delaney and who served as pastor for nearly 15 years. As pastor, he built a church, he built a school and he developed a parish spirit well-matched with the principles of the Knights of Columbus. The early leaders of our council knew Msgr. Delaney to be a friendly and charitable religious person respected by all who knew him. He was sincerely interested in the people and activities of his parish. It is thus fitting that our Council is named in honor of such a distinguished man.
